Product record
Product position
OtterlyAI has expanded from prompt monitoring into a broader GEO workflow
The product launched in 2024 around monitoring generated answers. Its current scope also includes prompt research, citation analysis, page audits, recommendations, AI-crawler analytics, API access and reporting.
A prompt is the recurring query OtterlyAI submits to supported AI-search experiences. Higher plans increase the number of prompts and add integrations, API capacity and other workflow functions rather than charging standard users by seat.
The platform records whether tracked brands appear, their position in the answer, cited domains and URLs, sentiment and competitor presence.
Users can generate candidate prompts from topics, brands or URLs and move selected queries into recurring tracking.
Crawlability, content audits and citation-gap recommendations are used to identify pages or third-party sources connected to monitored queries.
Collection methodology
Most monitored answers are collected from public AI interfaces rather than model APIs
OtterlyAI says its collection system programmatically submits prompts through public AI-search interfaces because API responses can differ from consumer-facing results.
This is intended to capture the answer format, links and citations users encounter in the relevant public product rather than a separate developer-model response.
OtterlyAI's help documentation states that Claude uses a Sonnet model with web-search capabilities rather than the same interface-based collection method.
Generated answers and cited sources can change between runs. OtterlyAI's own 2026 research found substantial day-to-day citation turnover, so single observations should not be treated as fixed rankings. Trend data across repeated runs is more useful than an isolated response.
Engine coverage
Seven AI-search experiences are supported, but four are included in standard plan prices
OtterlyAI currently supports ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, Microsoft Copilot, Google AI Mode, Gemini and Claude.
The service moved from its earlier weekly cadence to daily monitoring. The same tracked prompt can therefore be compared over time rather than requiring users to rerun checks manually.
ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot are included in the published self-service plan prices.
Buyers tracking all supported engines need to add those three products to the underlying subscription.
Brand and citation analytics
Brand reports separate mentions from the sources used to support an answer
The current AI Search Analytics product records brand presence and cited URLs for each tracked prompt and engine.
Coverage can be compared with competitors by prompt, engine and market rather than relying on a single aggregate brand score.
Users can identify which owned or third-party pages recur in answers and which competitor brands those sources mention.
Sentiment is attached to the relevant answer text so users can inspect the underlying wording rather than relying only on the aggregate classification.
Share of voice, coverage, answer position and citation data can be compared across brands using the same monitoring configuration.
OtterlyAI's documentation says this axis is calculated from average brand position inside AI answers. It should therefore be read as an answer-position metric rather than observed purchase intent, conversion probability or customer behavior.
Prompt research and GEO functions
The platform now includes tools for selecting prompts and investigating citation gaps
OtterlyAI combines monitored output with research and page-level checks intended to inform SEO and content work after visibility gaps have been identified.
Suggested questions can be grouped by topic or intent before selected prompts are moved into recurring Brand Report tracking.
This gives content teams another way to examine how a broader question may be decomposed during AI-assisted search.
The audit tools test AI-crawler access, page structure and content characteristics associated with monitored queries.
Recommendations can point to on-page changes or third-party sources where competitors appear and the tracked brand does not.
Agent Analytics and ChatGPT ads
Recent additions track activity around AI search that occurs outside generated answers
OtterlyAI has added server-side AI crawler analytics and monitoring of paid placements inside ChatGPT alongside its original answer-monitoring product.
Server, edge and log-based integrations can identify requests from systems such as OAI-SearchBot, ChatGPT-User and PerplexityBot and show which site URLs those agents accessed.
Current documentation lists Cloudflare, WordPress, Netlify, webhook and log-file ingestion. IP addresses are removed before Agent Analytics data is stored.
The feature stores observed sponsored placements, advertisers, destination links and product cards when they appear during tracked ChatGPT runs.
Pricing
Self-service pricing is public, with separate charges for three AI engines
OtterlyAI's current pricing page offers monthly and annual subscriptions. Annual billing is advertised at a 15% discount.
Published pricing ↗Includes one workspace, unlimited team members and the core monitoring and audit functions.
Adds unlimited workspaces, API and MCP access, Agent Analytics and additional reporting capacity.
Raises prompt, API, MCP, audit and Agent Analytics limits for larger monitoring programmes.
Enterprise contracts can add SSO, custom prompt volumes, payment arrangements, onboarding and negotiated terms.
Monthly engine add-ons
Charged in addition to the underlying self-service subscription.
Uses the same tier-dependent pricing structure as Google AI Mode.
Claude carries the highest published engine add-on price on each self-service tier.
The advertised seven-engine coverage is therefore not included in the base subscription price. Buyers should price the exact engine set they intend to monitor rather than compare vendors using entry prices alone. The current seven-day trial requires no credit card and includes 50 prompts.
Contract and cancellation
Self-service subscriptions renew automatically and prepaid fees are generally non-refundable
OtterlyAI's current Terms and Conditions were updated on September 29, 2026. Self-service customers accept the standard terms through use, while Enterprise customers are governed by their signed Quote and negotiated terms.
Monthly plans can be terminated on a monthly basis. Annual subscriptions continue through the annual term unless renewal is stopped before the next period.
The standard terms describe fees as non-refundable unless another provision or written agreement creates a refund right.
OtterlyAI's help documentation says paid access continues until the end of the current billing period and no further charge is made after cancellation.
Customer data is made available for download for 30 days after termination before deletion under the company's deletion policy.
An August 2026 help article says a self-service customer can downgrade at any time and that the change takes effect immediately. The September 29 Terms say self-service customers cannot reduce the plan or limits during an active subscription term and require a downgrade for the following term. Buyers should rely on the current contractual terms or obtain written clarification before changing an annual plan.
Security and data governance
OtterlyAI does not currently hold its own SOC 2 Type II or ISO 27001 certification
The company's security documentation describes its infrastructure, storage locations and current security controls. A separate help article says a SOC 2 Type II audit remains on the roadmap with no published completion date.
OtterlyAI says its software services are hosted in AWS eu-central-1 in Frankfurt. The SOC and ISO certifications referenced on the security page belong to the AWS data centers rather than to OtterlyAI itself.
The security page identifies AWS North Virginia as the storage location for public monitoring data, which enterprise buyers may need to include in data-transfer review.
OtterlyAI states that data is encrypted at rest and in transit and that access is managed through role-based and least-privilege controls.
Subject to applicable law, aggregated usage data can be used during and after the subscription for product operation, analysis, support, marketing, benchmarks and related purposes.
Buyer fit
OtterlyAI fits teams that want recurring AI-search measurement without an enterprise-only buying process
Marketing, SEO and communications teams tracking defined prompt sets
The self-service tiers work for organizations that can translate their AI-search questions into a manageable prompt inventory and want daily comparisons across brands, citations and competitors.
Agencies can separate work through multiple workspaces on Standard and higher plans while allowing multiple users into the same account without per-seat pricing.
The product also fits teams that want prompt research, page audits and AI-crawler data alongside answer monitoring rather than purchasing each function separately.
Enterprise buyers with audited-certification requirements or broad reputation monitoring needs
Organizations requiring a current vendor-level SOC 2 Type II or ISO 27001 certificate will need to wait for certification or negotiate alternative assurance during procurement.
Communications teams needing news, social, review or broadcast monitoring will need other software because OtterlyAI is focused on AI-generated search and associated web activity.
Buyers requiring all seven supported engines should calculate the add-ons before deciding which plan corresponds to their monitoring volume.

Independent user evidence
G2 provides the only substantial public review corpus we found
OtterlyAI has a dedicated G2 profile with recent reviews from small and mid-market users. Other public review surfaces are either much smaller or do not provide a comparable independent sample.
Ease of use and setup appear repeatedly in positive reviews
G2's current review summary identifies useful insights, setup and interface usability among its most common positive themes. Recent reviewers also mention prompt tracking and competitor comparison.
Reporting depth appears in several recent complaints
2026 reviewers ask for more advanced filtering, report customization, longer historical analysis and faster data refresh when monitoring multiple domains.
Some users question specific analytical outputs
One recent reviewer reports sentiment classifications that can treat factual mentions as slightly negative, while another says monitoring findings do not always translate into clear recommended actions.
The jump from Lite to Standard can affect smaller teams
A 2026 agency review specifically identifies the move from the entry tier to the $189 Standard plan as difficult once the Lite prompt allowance becomes insufficient.
Product Hunt displays only two reviews for OtterlyAI, and one was posted by company co-founder Klaus-M. Schremser. Reputation Insider therefore does not treat that rating as independent user evidence.
External evidence: G2 and Product Hunt.
Reputation Insider verdict
OtterlyAI gives smaller teams a direct route into daily AI-search monitoring
The product covers the practical monitoring questions most buyers start with: whether a brand appears, which competitors are named, what sources are cited and how those results change across repeated prompts. Prompt research, audits and crawler analytics extend the same dataset into SEO and content workflows.
The published entry price does not represent the cost of monitoring every supported engine. Gemini, Google AI Mode and Claude are separate add-ons, and the difference becomes material on higher tiers. Buyers should also distinguish modeled metrics such as the Brand Visibility Index from observed business outcomes.
Enterprise procurement has a different issue. OtterlyAI publishes useful security detail and enterprise contract options, but vendor-level SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certification are not currently in place.
